When you add files to the Dropbox folder, they will take up space on your hard drive, in order to sync to your account on the cloud.

If you don't have enough hard drive space, you could add the files in batches and then use selective sync, to free up the space they take up. Otherwise, as a workaround, you can also use our website , which will upload your files directly to the cloud.

Okay, so the gist here is that Dropbox has a thing called file requests. In short, have your client create a file request for you, and then from there, you can upload files, and they go directly into their Dropbox!
