Hyfax setup help

Cool- thanks guys. When I finally get my house tracked down, I'll be putting some on. Cliff Wagenbach Posted January 3, Posted January 4, JWB Posted January 8, Posted January 8, And boy let me tell you, that 6 bucks really set me back! Northlander Posted January 8, What do ya think S. This topic is now closed to further replies. Go to question listing. Well, apparently they do now!!

Why not put up No Parking signs on the road if that's where the issues are. Sad for sure!! Lund Boat Parts transom Corner Cap. Would you be willing to sell a couple? Alright I was able to talk to Lyle about this on the phone.

He was honest and forthcoming, and I believe him. He said that closing the access area to parking has not been because of one isolated incident. Its been for a number of reasons over the course of several years.

However, he also said that in the open water season when people park their trucks and boat trailers along the road, sometimes they park on both sides. The road is narrow to begin with and when people do this, its a safety issue according to the fire department.

An emergency vehicle would not be able to get through. Apparently at night in the past, there has been issues too with cars going down there and doing things they aren't supposed as well. Last summer someone tossed the porta poddy into the lake and he had to go pull it out. When they had a trash bin down there, people would tip it over and the trash would create a mess. So the problem is not one-fold here - its multiple reasons over time.

He also stated that the county really does not have the time or manpower to constantly monitor the access area for illegal parking either or to enforce it, so the most ideal solution was to simply ban all parking. As for whether it will be a year-round policy, he said that is likely but not set in stone yet. You can still use the access as a drop-point at this time. They dont wear all the way through. I feel like the track has proper tension but might be a little too tight.

The suspension mount is in the only spot it can go. There are no other holes in the rails that it can go into other than a hole the same size and height on the rail about 3 inches back from where it is now which would mean a longer shock at a differen angle.

The idler wheels are far lower than the bottom of the hyfax as you can tell in the pics. I posted some more pics. One of the new ones is of the front of the rails that is chewed up from something. Either the drivers or the track windows???

Does anyone know what would cause this.. So i am thinking of putting an antistab wheel kit up front and putting the same set up further back near the stock idler wheel for more clearance over the hyfax. I see your front shock and limiter strap are adjusted so that you should not be wearing like you are. The hit rail tips also suggest that your track tension is loose and should not cause wear. Your track clips must be ruff or you get a lot of dirt on the slides.

The slides look like they have ground in dirt. Double check all your track clips, get some scratchers, and try some graphite slides and break them in properly.

Make a short run on hardpack to get them hot then sit a little while and let them cool. Do that a couple times and see if it helps. I've seen new hyfax wear out in less than 3 miles with no scratchers and hardpack trails. Pedersen Well-known member Lifetime Membership. Sep 21, 15, 44 Lofoten, Norway.
