Panasonic sd editing software

Just my 2 cents. Thanks Soopafresh. Is the software fairly easy to use or do you have to be a pro to use and understand this software? Do any of you have other opinions on software? I use Vegas Pro and find it far more flexible than Premiere and similar software. However, as with any software purchase, the best option is to try the demo for yourself.

Interface and workflow must suit the way your brain works. The last thing you need to be doing is fighting the software to get results. The software should be a tool that you can just pick up and swing as necessary, without having to puzzle over. Yes, there will always be a learning curve, and video is complex stuff. The higher up the software chain you go, the more complex it becomes. But if the software and your brain are in sync, the curve is much more gentle, and you become productive much faster.

I have about an hour of video that I want to get off the camera I'll report back if I have problems. I was told I could record with standard def using this camera.

I haven't checked this out, but if this is true, will Windows Movie Maker recognize the files? That would be a whole lot easier at this point. My files will end up on you-tube or myspace anyway.

Drag about HD writer not recognizing the files afterwards! So if I just copy these off and delete them from the card, I can't put them back on the card.. I'll keep this thread posted with my progress. Despite these problems, I love the pocket size and ergonomics of this camera and really want it to work for me.
